Doctor of Physical Therapy & Founder of Invigorate Physical Therapy
Dedicated to your recovery. Rooted in our community.
Your partner in health, right here in Arlington.
I founded Invigorate Physical Therapy in Arlington to provide dedicated, one-on-one care. Whether you are chasing your kids through the park, training for a local race, or just trying to navigate your home and workday comfortably, I’m here to help you get back to feeling like yourself again.
13+ Years of Clinical Experience
I earned my Bachelor of Science from Virginia Tech in 2010 and completed my Doctor of Physical Therapy at Long Island University in Brooklyn in 2013. For the first four years of my career, I specialized in treating patients with complex neurological disorders. Treating patients with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Guillain-Barré, traumatic brain injuries, stroke, and vestibular dysfunction required me to look at movement through a different lens, focusing on how the brain and body communicate.
In 2017, I pivoted to an orthopedic focus, applying that same attention to detail to running and sports injuries, lower limb, shoulder, back and neck pain. This combined background allows me to treat patients from a truly holistic perspective, treating both neurological and musculoskeletal systems. Having navigated postpartum recovery, rebuilding strength, and endurance, I understand the importance of ‘a little each day goes a long way’ because we are all trying to find balance in our lives. We will discuss your personal goals and work together to meet them. I understand firsthand the dedication required to regain function and get back to the activities that make you feel like yourself.
My Approach
I pride myself on a holistic, collaborative approach. My evaluations and treatments are always one-on-one, meaning you have my undivided attention for the full session. I collaborate and take the time to listen to YOU in session and in between sessions. I provide open communication with my patients through texting or email so we can ensure you are progressing through your rehabilitation and work together to meet your goals.
I utilize advanced, evidence-based techniques—including Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN), Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)—to facilitate mobility and optimize your function without restriction.
Scheduling can be completed online, through messaging, or in person. I offer flexible scheduling and am able to get you in for treatment quicker than a traditional clinic.
When I'm Not With Patients
When I’m not in the clinic, I’m usually enjoying everything Northern Virginia has to offer. My husband, Matt, and I stay busy keeping up with our three kids: Henry (8), Ryan (5), and Evelyn (3), and our chocolate lab, Colby.
I am a true believer in staying active. In my spare time, I love walking, running, yoga, and skiing with my family. In the fall, you can find me on the field coaching youth girls’ field hockey. I also love cooking, trying new restaurants, going to our local Farmer's Market, and listening to live music at our neighborhood Beer Garden.
My passion for physical therapy started on the field. I sustained an injury playing field hockey, which led me to Physical Therapy as a post-operative patient, and that experience completely changed my career path. I enjoyed building a relationship and trust in my Physical Therapist and knew she would get me back to the field. I will work with you to keep you active, healthy, and moving pain-free.
