Frequently Asked Questions
-
Invigorate Physical Therapy is a cash-based, out-of-network provider. By moving away from the constraints of traditional insurance, I am able to prioritize your results over paperwork. This model allows for longer, one-on-one sessions and a higher standard of personalized care. Payment is due at the time of service. I will provide an itemized superbill after our session that you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
-
Yes! Physical therapy is a qualified medical expense. You can use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) card to pay for your sessions.

GETTING STARTED, REFERRALS, AND ACCESS
-
No. I can see you without a doctor’s order in the state of Virginia due to direct access. As of July 1, 2023, legislation allows you to seek evaluation and treatment directly from a Doctor of Physical Therapy without a physician’s referral or time restrictions. We can get started on your recovery right away.
-
No. Thanks to updated Virginia legislation (effective July 1, 2023), a prescription or referral is no longer required for Trigger Point Dry Needling. I can incorporate this highly effective treatment into our sessions whenever it is clinically necessary.
-
It means the clinic comes to you! All we need is a small, cleared space for my professional treatment table. I bring everything necessary for a full clinical session, including equipment and tools needed for manual therapy, trigger point dry needling, and exercise equipment. I enjoy incorporating the equipment you already have at your home when I prescribe your home exercise program to ensure it is easy to maintain.
-
I am proud to serve Arlington, Falls Church, and select surrounding neighborhoods in Northern Virginia. If you are close to these areas and unsure if I travel to you, please reach out!
-
No, I bring everything required for your session. I will provide you with a customized home exercise program (HEP) using what you have available at home. I can make recommendations to purchase equipment based on your goals but will generally work with what you have at home to maintain your progress even after PT is done!
-
Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and lets me access the area we are treating (e.g., shorts for a knee/hip issue, a tank top for a shoulder/neck issue).
-
Initial evaluations are 75 minutes. Follow-up treatment sessions and wellness visits are both 45 minutes. All sessions are one-on-one
-
This varies based on your specific goals and injury. Because our sessions are highly focused and we prioritize your home exercise program, many patients see significant progress in fewer visits than they would in a traditional high-volume clinic. We will create a plan during your evaluation.
THE MOBILE EXPERIENCE
-
I’m a dog lover (my chocolate lab, Colby, says hi!) and a mom of three, so I am very comfortable with pets and kids around.
-
Because I reserve a dedicated time slot for your one-on-one care, I require 24 hours notice for cancellations. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a fee of $50.
-
My standard clinical hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM. If you have specific requests before or after hours, please email me at Tiffani@InvigoratePT.org to discuss flexible scheduling options.
